May Field Trip – Cowichan Treasure Hunt
The Courtenay Gem & Mineral Club invites current members only to join us for a joint field trip with Ripple Rock Gem & Mineral Club to the Hill 60 Rhodonite claim. This outing provides a rare opportunity to explore a private claim with permission from the owner and search for rhodonite and other minerals.
Field Trip Details
Dates: Saturday, May 30, 2026
Time: 12:00 PM – 5:00 PM
Location: To be shared via email with current members
What to Expect:
Participants will explore the Hill 60 claim for rhodonite and other minerals. Off-road camping is available free of charge from Friday evening through Sunday, but note that there are no facilities on-site. A 4×4 is recommended for the logging road access, and carpooling is encouraged. Specific site and trip details will be emailed to current members prior to the outing.
