The Courtenay Annual Gem & Mineral Show is one of the largest gem and mineral shows on Vancouver Island, attracting thousands of visitors from across the Comox Valley, Vancouver Island, and beyond.

Our annual show brings together rockhounds, collectors, families, and curious visitors for a weekend filled with rocks, minerals, fossils, crystals, lapidary work, jewellery, demonstrations, displays, and more.

After a successful three-day show in 2026, we’re returning to our tried-and-true two-day format for 2027.

Apply AS A VENDOR

Our show offers vendors the opportunity to connect with thousands of enthusiastic visitors and promote their products to collectors, rockhounds, families, and people discovering the hobby for the first time.

Priority will be given to vendors offering rocks, minerals, fossils, lapidary work, jewellery, tools, equipment, and other rock-related products or services. A limited number of non-rock-related vendors may be accepted depending on available space and the overall mix of vendors.

Volunteers for 2027

Our annual show couldn’t happen without our volunteers!

There are many ways to get involved before, during, and after the show, from helping with setup and welcoming visitors to supporting vendors, activities, and tear-down. Whether you can spare a few hours or would like to take on several shifts, every bit of help makes a difference and helps us put on a great show for our community.

What Volunteers Receive

Demonstrations & EducationaL Activities

We are looking for demonstrations and educational activities that give visitors an opportunity to learn something new and engage with the world of rocks, minerals, fossils, lapidary, and related subjects.

Demonstrations should be presented as an educational or interactive activity for visitors. Working on or making products for sale at a vendor table does not qualify as a demonstration.

Demonstration and educational tables are provided at no cost. If you have a demonstration, presentation, or hands-on educational activity that you think would be a good fit for the show, please contact us at courtenay.bcls@gmail.com with a brief description of what you would like to offer.

All demonstrations and educational activities are subject to approval by the show organizers.
