Field Trip – Flowerstone, Flowerstone and More Flowerstone
April 18th, 2026 – members of our club, Ripple Rock Gem & Mineral Club and Alberni Valley Rock & Gem Club were taken up Oyster river to one of the main sources of Flowerstone in the region and then had plenty of time to pick some of their own among other goodies on the banks of the upper Oyster River. The weather held out, visibility was awesome and the sun popped in for a visit!
FIELD TRIP – Mountain Minerals Part 1
March 29th, 2026 with Ripple Rock Gem & Mineral Club on Mount Washington. Specimens found included pyrite, molybdendum, sphalerite, calcite, pararealgar, bornite and quartz crystals.
